Secular and sacred divide: alive and stifling creativity
Posted on February 15, 2008, by dazzer67, under inspiration, quotes.
‘Creative ability and personal responsibility are strongest when the mind is free from supernatural belief and operates in an atmosphere of freedom and democracy.’
I found this quote from unknown origin as I was doing a search for creative quotes. I don’t know the context for the quote and so I don’t want to comment directly on it. However, it did get me thinking. I know many a ‘believing creative’ who would wholeheartedly disagree with the quote and claim the complete opposite. I also know many ’secular creatives’ who would wholeheartedly agree with it.
Perhaps the only thing that weakens creative ability is a closed mind, one that doesn’t seek dialogue with any side of the debate?

You’re my favourite waste if time - Jam Studio
Posted on February 10, 2008, by dazzer67, under links.
Jam Studio, my favourite waste of time, has had a make-over. Let’s rephrase that, the very excellent Jam Studio has moved on from its origins and added a host of new features to enable you to jam onlne. If you want a simple to use, music creation tool then Jam Studio is great. The best new feature has to be the MP3 mix down and export feature, however, you need to subscribe to get this. But if you don’t own a copious amount of royalty free samples, an (normally) expensive sequencer package or Timberland as your best mate, this could be very useful for you. If you don’t believe me check it out.
