George Carlin Inspiration

Posted on June 23, 2008, by dazzer67, under inspiration, quotes.

In memory of George Carlin who died yesterday 22nd June 2008 I thought we’d have a quote that could be used to inspire us all. George said,

‘I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately.’

I’d like to add that the same is true of any creative activity. Find the line and cross it, creativity is all about going beyond, doing what hasn’t been done before. So find the line and cross it deliberately today, in memory of George.

Site updating

Posted on June 16, 2008, by dazzer67, under site info.

Just a brief message about the site. I just upgraded to WP2.5.1 and I had a few issues with the upgrade. They are sorted but, due to my inefficient backing up of the theme, things may look a little weird for a few days. I am sorry about this, but it may be the push I need to get things a little closer to how I really want them.

In the meantime, may your creativity blossom.

Posted on June 16, 2008, by dazzer67, under links, perspiration.

There is a fantastic, yet really simple, course available from Productivity501. It is a ten day course, via email, that helps you overcome procrastination. highly recommended if, like me, you end up with more things left undone than done.

Batch processing, productivity and ProBlogger

Posted on June 13, 2008, by dazzer67, under creativity basics, perspiration.

Darren Rowse at ProBlogger has a really interesting post about keeping ‘like’ tasks together. I am sure you’ll find something of interest in the post even though it doesn’t deal directly with being creative. However, if you are like most creatives then a little organisation could go along way.
